What's in Al Dhafra
Al Dhafra (the former Western Region) covers most of the emirate's land, west and south of Abu Dhabi city. Liwa is the oasis farms on the edge of the Empty Quarter. Sila is the far west, near the Saudi border.
Big energy and power projects in the region (the Barakah nuclear plant among them) bring a constant flow of contractors.
